Attend an Approved School for Truck Driver Training
Central Refrigerated’s career path is geared for individuals who are interested in training for trucking jobs. It provides a simple but direct program that will allow them to achieve a top pay scale in their first year in the industry.
The career path begins when qualified applicants attend one of three Central Refrigerated Truck Driving Schools. These trucking schools are located regionally in Fontana, California; Salt Lake City, Utah and Conley, Georgia. Applicants attend a two to three- week course. Central Refrigerated requires no money down for CDL training and will finance students based on their qualifications for the truck driving training program. The only out of pocket training expenses are licensing fees and cost of living expenses less the housing. Central Refrigerated covers costs such as travel, housing during trucking school and orientation, DOT physical, drug testing and wellness testing.
In our program, students learn the skills needed for their new career as an independent contractor. They learn how to properly operate a tractor and all of its components, shifting a nine speed transmission with the double-clutching technique, pre-trip inspections, DOT logging rules and the necessary safety requirements of being an over the road (OTR) truck driver. Passing students will receive their Class “A” Commercial Drivers License (Class A CDL).
